Step 2: Ensure the financial status of the seller.
Furthermore, our lawyers research the financial status of the seller to confirm that they do not have any debts pending that may affect the sale or the property. The seller’s identity is investigated through the Tax Office and the property details through the Municipality as well as the Insurance, Electric, and Hydro companies. Once all the above have been approved, we represent the client during the contract signing (final or any pre-contracts, payoffs, solution of solvencies etc.) and any necessary final steps afterwards, namely, delegating the contract to the accountant in order for him to make the tax declaration and inform the utility companies about the change of ownership.
Step 3: Our attorneys undertake any interchange of the client with the banks.
Finally, our attorneys take care of all the client’s banking issues, including opening new accounts (mandatory for financial transactions in Greece), delivering all necessary documents, obtaining passbooks, and registering for web-banking services.
During the entire process our lawyers, as per a signed power of attorney, represent the client with all procedural matters (courts, government, notary, accounting offices, etc.) while constantly updating him on the progress.
